I’m trying to open a new AWS account, but when I reach the phone verification step, I don’t receive a call from AWS. What should I do?

Make sure of the following:

  • You’ve entered your telephone number correctly, as well as the proper extension (if any).
  • If you’re using a mobile phone, you have enough signal to make and receive calls.

If you’re still unable to complete the automated phone verification process, sign in to your AWS account using the email address and password that you specified when creating your account, and create a case with AWS support providing a time, date, and contact number where you can be reached. AWS support will attempt to call you and help you manually verify your phone number.

Note: You can create a case with AWS support even if your account isn’t fully activated.
