I tried to purchase a Reserved Instance through the Amazon EC2 console, but the purchase wasn’t successful. How do I retry my failed Reserved Instance payment?

Most Reserved Instance types require an upfront payment. When an upfront payment isn't successfully processed, it's usually because the issuing institution of your payment method rejected the upfront payment request. Contact the issuing institution of your payment method and make sure they approve charges from Amazon Web Services.

Reserved Instance upfront payments can’t be retried through the Billing and Cost Management console, but AWS Support can retry the payment if you create a case in the AWS Support Center. If your need is urgent, choose Phone under Contact Method to request a direct call.
