Can I push server access logs about an Amazon S3 bucket into the same bucket?

I turned on server access logging for my Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) bucket. I want to send the logs to the same bucket.

Resolution

It's not a best practice to push server access logs about an S3 bucket into the same bucket. When you configure your server access logs this way, the log file that you write to the bucket also accesses the bucket. Amazon S3 generates a new log file for every log that you write to the bucket, and this creates an endless loop of logs. You then incur high storage costs from the log files that continually generate.
