My organization moved or changed addresses, and I want to be sure that my AWS account is up to date. What do I need to update?

Update the following (if applicable):

  1. Update the physical address associated with your AWS account.
  2. Update your payment method. Local tax is calculated based on the address associated with your payment method. If you need to add a new payment method, be sure that it is the default payment method.
  3. Update your account's tax information in the Tax Settings pane of the Billing and Cost Management Dashboard.
    Note: If your organization uses consolidated billing, you still need to maintain the correct tax information on your account. For more information, see How is tax calculated in an organization's consolidated bill?
