Last updated:  2019-05-02

I enabled AWS Single Sign-On (AWS SSO)—how do I use the user portal?

Resolution

AWS SSO users can access AWS accounts and cloud applications using the user portal. Follow these guidelines for accessing, configuring, and managing the user portal for AWS SSO.

Important: If you haven't already done so, follow the instructions to assign user access to cloud applications in AWS SSO and Add and Configure a Cloud Application.

Follow these instructions to sign into the user portal:

  1. Open the AWS SSO console, choose Dashboard, and then choose the link in User portal URL.
  2. Follow the instructions to Sign In to the User Portal.
Note: AWS SSO users access the user portal using the user credentials for the directory configured in AWS SSO.
  3. To access cloud applications or AWS accounts of the AWS Organizations from the user portal, follow the instructions for Using the User Portal.
Tip: If you can't find your cloud application or AWS account, enter the application name or AWS account you're looking for into the search box and press enter.
  4. To sign out of the user portal, see How to Sign Out of the User Portal.

Note: By default, the AWS SSO permission credential session duration is one hour. To change the credential duration, follow the instructions to Set Session Duration.
