New Features

Feature Description
AWS SDK for .NET AWS now provides libraries, sample code, tutorials, and other resources for software developers who prefer to build applications using .NET language-specific APIs instead of Query or SOAP. These libraries provide basic functions (not included in the Amazon Auto Scaling Query or SOAP APIs), such as request authentication, request retries, and error handling so that it's easier to get started. For more information about language-specific libraries and resources, go to Programming Language Support in the Amazon Auto Scaling Developer Guide.

Known Issues

Issue Description Impact
1 Auto Scaling is a feature of Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2). You must be signed up for Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) service in order to call the Auto Scaling APIs.
2 Calling TerminateInstanceInAutoScalingGroup API without a replacement can result in an Auto Scaling Group dropping below the minimum size. The Auto Scaling Group may stay below the minimum configured size until a scaling action or a SetDesiredCapacity API call increases the number of instances in the Auto Scaling Group.
3 SOAP requests over HTTP will result in the following error: Premature end of file. AWSRequestId:No request id received. API requests using SOAP are only supported over HTTPS.
