Feature Description
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)-protected API access support Amazon S3 now supports MFA-protected API access, a feature that can enforce AWS MFA validation for access to your resources. AWS Multi-Factor Authentication provides an extra level of security you can apply to your AWS environment. It requires that users posess an MFA device, which they then use to provide a valid MFA code. For more information, go to AWS Multi-Factor Authentication.

You can enforce the MFA authentication requirement in a bucket policy by adding a condition using the aws:MultiFactorAuthAge key. For an example policy, go to Example Cases for Amazon S3 Bucket Policies.
