Introducing Amazon Transcribe – Now in Preview

Posted on: Nov 29, 2017

Amazon Transcribe is an automatic speech recognition (ASR) service that makes it easy for developers to add speech to text capability to their applications. Amazon Transcribe can analyze audio files stored in Amazon S3 and return a text file of the transcribed speech with time stamps for every word so you can easily locate the audio in the original source by searching for the text.

Amazon Transcribe can be used across a breadth of industries. For example, customer contact centers can convert call recordings into text for further analysis of what drives positive outcomes; media content producers can automate subtitling workflows for greater reach, and marketers and advertisers can enhance content discovery and display more targeted advertising based on the extracted metadata.

Today, Amazon Transcribe is available in US East (N. Virginia) region, with more regions to follow. To learn more, visit the Amazon Transcribe home page and sign up for the Amazon Transcribe Preview.
