VodafoneZiggo Prioritizes Data Protection to Secure Customer Trust Using AWS
Netherlands-based telco VodafoneZiggo needs to stay compliant with not only European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), but also Dutch laws governing the handling of data by telecoms providers. It uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) services such as AWS Security Hub, which gives full visibility of security alerts and compliance status through a single pane of glass. Meanwhile, data objects in Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) are automatically encrypted to help ensure customer data is stored safely. Along with AWS support and training, says cloud engineer Sander Janssen, this provides VodafoneZiggo with the “full package,” which has been integral to the telco’s smooth cloud journey.
