A: Both solutions include support for the following input resolutions: 1080p, 720p, and 540p, and they deliver up to six multiple adaptive bitrate outputs from 1080p through 288p.
Q: What ingest formats does the solution support?
A: Both solutions support Real-Time Transport Protocol (RTP) push, Real-Time Messaging Protocol (RTMP) push or pull, and HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) pull. The Live Streaming on AWS solution supports AWS Elemental MediaConnect inputs, and the Live Streaming on AWS with Amazon S3 solution supports using AWS Elemental Link as a device input.
Q: Does this solution support digital rights management (DRM)?
A: The solution does not support DRM at this time but it can be customized to support DRM. For an example of how to integrate DRM using Secure Packager and Encoding Key Exchange with AWS Elemental MediaPackage, refer to this GitHub repository.
Q: Can I deploy this solution in any AWS Region?
A: If you selected the Live Streaming on AWS solution, you must deploy this solution in an AWS Region that supports AWS Elemental MediaLive and MediaPackage.
If you selected the Live Streaming on AWS with Amazon S3 solution, you must deploy this solution in an AWS Region that supports AWS Elemental MediaLive.
