A: Tracking your usage against AWS Service quotas shows you whether you are approaching a given quota so that you can proactively request a service quota increase before you exceed a quota.

Q: How much does this solution cost?

A: The cost for running this solution in your primary account (monitoring account) in US East (N. Virginia) depends on the number of accounts you are monitoring for quotas. Here’s a sample cost breakdown:

Small deployment: 10 accounts in 15 regions, the cost is $344 per month.
Medium deployment: 100 accounts in 15 regions, the cost is $1,935 per month.
Large deployment: 1000 accounts in 15 regions, the cost is $19,251 per month.

Q: Can Quota Monitor for AWS check quotas in multiple accounts?

A: The solution supports multiple deployment scenarios for quota monitoring.
It supports AWS Organizations as well as use-cases when you are not using Organizations.

A: Currently the solution supports following checks:

Q: Do I need premium support to use Quota Monitor for AWS??

A: The solution uses AWS Support APIs in the Trusted Advisor spoke stack. The APIs require a Business-level or Enterprise-level AWS Support plan. However, the rest of the solution components do not require a paid plan.

Q: Can I deploy the Quota Monitor for AWS in any AWS Region?

A: The quota-monitor-hub.template and quota-monitor-sq-spoke.template AWS CloudFormation templates can be deployed in any Region. The quota-monitor-ta-spoke.template can be deployed only in the us-east-1 (N. Virginia) Region.
