What is an AWS Summit?

AWS Summits Americas are regional events designed to bring together the cloud computing community to connect, collaborate, and learn about AWS. Summits are held in major cities around North and South America and attract technologist from multiple industries, segments, and learning levels who want to learn how AWS can help them innovate with speed and deliver services with scale, flexibility, and reliability.

Who should attend the Summit?

The event is ideal for developers and engineers, system administrators, systems architects, IT executives, and technical decision-makers.

How do I update my registration information?

Log in to your account and click 'Registration Information' to view or make changes to your registration details. To change your name, email us directly at aws-summit-support@amazon.com.

Who do I contact if I have registration issues?

What is the AWS Code of Conduct?

All attendees must comply with the AWS Code of Conduct.

Is there a cost to attend?

No. Registration is complimentary for this event .

Is there a virtual component of the AWS Summit?

Yes, select recordings of breakout sessions from the AWS Summits Americas program will be available on-demand following the event. If you register for the event, you will receive an email following the event to provide you with access to the content.

Where will the AWS Summit Chicago take place?

The in-person event will take place at McCormick Place - North located at 2301 S. King Drive, Chicago, IL 60616.

What do I need for event check in?

Be prepared to present a valid, government-issued photo ID and proof of vaccination for event check in.

Does my registration guarantee me access to the event and event activities?

Space is limited. To ensure the best attendee experience possible, access to the event or specific event activities such as keynote, breakout sessions, labs, meals, receptions, and lounges may be limited due to capacity restrictions.

Where should I park if I plan to drive?

There are three main parking lots on the McCormick Place campus. All are in close proximity and walking distance to our convention complex and are ADA accessible. View the McCormick Parking Page to see locations, rates, and directions.

Health Measures

What health measure are in place to reduce the risk of COVID-19?

All badge holders must be must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to checking in at the event or have a record of a negative test result, see Testing opt-out section. Fully vaccinated is defined by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) as 2 weeks after a second dose in a 2-dose series such as the Pfizer, Moderna, or AstraZeneca vaccines or 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine. Testing Opt-out

Can I attend with proof of a negative COVID-19 test instead of proof of vaccination against COVID-19?

Yes. Badge holders who are attending AWS Chicago Summit, who choose not to show a record of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, are able to attend if the attendee provides a record of a negative COVID-19 test. The name on the attendee’s test record must match their government-issued ID. Acceptable negative test results are limited to polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and antigen test results provided by a third-party laboratory no more than 24 hours for an antigen test and 72 hours for a PCR test prior to the start of the event. Self-administered tests will not be accepted.

Are Reflection Rooms available?

Yes. The Reflection Rooms are designed to provide a quiet space for meditation, yoga, prayer, or just a break from the crowd.

Are Lactation Rooms available?

Yes. Lactation rooms are designed to provide a private, secure space for lactating attendees to express milk. The spaces are equipped with cold packs, wipes, and comfy chairs.

Are there all-gender restrooms onsite?

Yes. All-gender restrooms will be available.
