A white-label experience

With Amazon SES, you customize just about every aspect of Amazon SES that your customers come into contact with. For example, you can create pools of dedicated IP addresses, and then associate individual senders with each pool. You can also obtain delivery metrics for each sender, and then use that data to build custom dashboards for each customer.

Amazon SES also includes features that give you full control over the branding associated with your application. You can fully customize the emails that Amazon SES sends to customers to verify their addresses, and you can use your own domains for tracking open and click events.

Monitoring and enforcement capabilities

A bad sender can affect the email deliverability of your other customers' email. Amazon SES enables you to monitor your senders' email sending health through bounce and complaint metrics. If the sending of one of your customers worsens, you can automatically pause the sending of that specific customer without impacting others.

Customized sending experience

Using configuration sets, you can fine tune your email sending strategy for each customer or group of customers. You can assign dedicated IP addresses and enable features such as open and click tracking in each configuration set. You can also tell Amazon SES how to handle different types of events—such as bounces or complaints—when they occur. Finally, you can specify unique destinations for storing email delivery metrics.

Dedicated IP pools

If you lease multiple dedicated IP addresses, you can create pools of those IP addresses. Dedicated IP pools are groups of IP addresses you use for different purposes. For example, you can create a pool for a set of customers who want to use shared IP addresses. You can also create IP pools for a customer who wants to use a range of IP address exclusively for their own sending.

Monitor sending patterns

Amazon SES tracks the overall bounce and complaint rates across your entire account, and can inform you when deliverability-impacting events occur, such as spamtrap hits, references to blocklisted domains in your emails, and reports from reputable anti-spam organizations.

Email authentication

Your customers can set up Sender Policy Framework (SPF) and DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM) using your branded TXT and CNAME records in the DNS configurations for their domains. Customers can use these authentication schemes to achieve compliance with Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting and Conformance (DMARC).

Mailbox simulator

Amazon SES includes a mailbox simulator that makes it easy to test your application's handling of various scenarios, such as bounces or complaints, without affecting your sender reputation. Using the mailbox simulator is as easy as sending a test email to a specific address. You can simulate successful deliveries, hard bounces, out-of-office responses, or complaints.
