Digital marketing companies need to serve targeted advertising or marketing content and must do so under limited time. AWS provides services and infrastructure to build reliable, fault-tolerant, and highly available content serving platforms in the cloud. The diagram below illustrates that after you win a bid, the ad exchange sends a URL to the right ad content. The ad viewer's device receives the URL and sends a request to CloudFront. Before the URL gets to CloudFront, WAF and Shield handle fraud detection and removal. CloudFront then delivers the content to the ad viewer using the cached copies of your content to minimize latency.
