Endemol is a Dutch company that produces and distributes multiplatform entertainment content, including drama, reality TV, comedy, game shows, entertainment, and children’s programming. The company encodes and stores a tremendous amount of content. Additionally, the nature of the company’s productions requires many temporary employees, leading to constant turnover that makes it difficult to manage PC workstations. Endemol turned to Amazon WorkSpaces for easy provisioning of virtual desktops, and uses other AWS services for content production and storage, cutting about 70 percent of costs compared to its older architecture.
