OpenClassrooms, a leading French MOOC (massive online open courses) startup, has chosen AWS to support its strong growth and enable it to implement the innovations necessary for its development.

In 2014, the company's infrastructure started showing limitations, especially with regard to traffic and developing new features. OpenClassrooms turned to AWS for its availability, its capacity to absorb peak loads, and the options for data encryption and global content distribution. In particular, OpenClassrooms is working on implementing a staging mechanism to facilitate the development of new online services and features.

OpenClassrooms also uses the following services: Amazon Simple Storage Service, Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud, Amazon Relational Database Service, Auto Scaling, Amazon Elastic Load Balancing, and Amazon Key Management Service.
