AWS Secrets Manager Now Supports AWS PrivateLink

Posted on: Jul 11, 2018

Starting today, AWS Secrets Manager supports AWS PrivateLink, enabling you to route data between your Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) and Secrets Manager entirely within the AWS network.

AWS Secrets Manager helps you protect secrets needed to access your applications, services, and IT resources. This service enables you to rotate, manage, and retrieve database credentials, API keys, and other secrets throughout their lifecycle. By using Secrets Manager with Amazon VPC endpoints, you can now keep secrets-related, encrypted communication within the AWS network and help meet your compliance and regulatory requirements to limit public internet connectivity.

AWS Secrets Manager is available in the AWS US East (N. Virginia), US East (Ohio), US West (N. California), US West (Oregon), Canada (Central), EU (Frankfurt), EU (Ireland), EU (London), Asia Pacific (Tokyo), Asia Pacific (Seoul), Asia Pacific (Singapore), Asia Pacific (Sydney), Asia Pacific (Mumbai), and South America (São Paulo) regions. Learn more by reading the AWS Secrets Manager web page or the AWS Secrets Manager User Guide.
