Flexible, Reliable Workflows That Replace Spreadsheets and Boost Collaboration

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about the Monday AI Work Platform is its flexibility. It doesn’t force you to change how you work; instead, it lets you build workflows that match your team’s existing processes. We use it for everything from employee onboarding and offboarding to quality control, employee engagement initiatives, surveys, and cross-department projects. As our needs have grown, we’ve been able to evolve our boards rather than starting over with a new tool.
The user experience is another major reason I enjoy using it every day. The drag-and-drop interface, customizable columns, dashboards, and multiple board views make it easy to organize even complex work. I especially appreciate being able to switch between table, calendar, timeline, and dashboard views depending on what I’m working on. Having all of that information in one place has replaced countless spreadsheets and long email chains, saving me hours each week.
The automations have been a real game changer. We automate task assignments, reminders, status changes, notifications, and recurring processes, which removes a lot of repetitive work and helps ensure nothing falls through the cracks. Instead of manually following up with people or constantly updating project trackers, the system handles much of that automatically.
Monday also integrates smoothly with tools we already use, especially Microsoft Teams and Outlook. Those integrations help keep communication tied to the actual work, rather than scattered across multiple platforms.
Performance has been consistently reliable, even with large boards, lots of automations, and many users working at the same time. Everything updates in real time, so everyone is working from the same information, which has noticeably improved collaboration between departments.
One benefit I didn’t expect was how much better visibility it would provide. Managers and team members can quickly see progress, spot bottlenecks, and answer their own questions without needing to request updates from someone else. That transparency has reduced meetings and made communication far more efficient.
The AI features have also been a valuable addition. I use AI to summarize updates, assist with writing, and speed up documentation. It’s not replacing my work, but it definitely helps me complete routine tasks faster and spend more time on higher-value projects.
From an ROI perspective, Monday has clearly justified the investment. The time we’ve saved through automation, standardized workflows, and centralized project tracking has made our teams more efficient while reducing manual administrative work.
Finally, I’ve had a great experience with Monday’s support and learning resources. Between the help articles, webinars, community forums, and a responsive support team, it’s been easy to learn new features and continuously improve the solutions we’ve built. It feels like a platform that keeps evolving, with new features regularly introduced that make an already strong product even better.

What do you dislike about the product?
Overall, I’ve had a very positive experience with the Monday AI Work Platform, though there are a few areas where I think it could be stronger.
One challenge is that, despite how flexible the platform is, some of the more advanced automations, formulas, and integrations come with a fairly steep learning curve. I often end up relying on trial and error or digging through documentation to figure out the best way to achieve what I’m trying to do. More guided setup experiences—or AI-powered recommendations while building automations—would make these advanced features feel much more approachable.
I’d also like to see deeper reporting and dashboard capabilities. The current dashboards are useful, but there are times when I need more flexibility with filtering, historical trend analysis, or cross-board reporting without having to build extra workarounds.
The AI features are promising, but they still feel early compared to the rest of the platform. I’d love to see the AI become more proactive—identifying workflow bottlenecks, suggesting automation opportunities, spotting overdue trends, and providing insights based on project data—rather than primarily focusing on writing assistance and summaries.
Occasionally, navigating very large boards with hundreds of items and numerous automations can feel a bit overwhelming. More options for organizing complex boards, along with improved performance on larger datasets, would make it easier to manage enterprise-level workflows.
That said, none of these issues have been significant enough to outweigh the value we’ve received from the platform. Monday continues to release new features and improvements regularly, and it’s clear they’re investing in the product and paying attention to customer feedback.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had problems tracking down different departments and getting their tasks completed with onboarding and offboarding, this platform and different boards have allowed us to streamline tasks and be concise about planning and completion. With Monday, we have been able to create customized workflows that match the way our teams actually work. We use boards to manage employee onboarding and offboarding, quality control processes, employee engagement initiatives, surveys, and project tracking. Having everything centralized in one place has reduced confusion, improved communication, and made it much easier to see what needs attention.
One of the biggest benefits has been increased visibility and accountability. Instead of spending time tracking down updates or asking for status reports, I can quickly view where projects stand, who is responsible for each item, and what the next steps are. Automations help keep tasks moving by sending reminders, updating statuses, and notifying the right people at the right time, which has helped prevent important items from being missed.
The AI capabilities are also helping reduce administrative work. Using AI for summaries, writing assistance, and organizing information allows us to complete routine tasks faster and focus more time on strategic work.
Overall, Monday AI Work Platform has helped us create more efficient processes, improve collaboration across departments, and replace manual tracking methods with a more streamlined and scalable system. It has given us better visibility into our work while saving time and improving how we manage projects from start to finish.

What do you like best about the product?
All of our team workflow is in one place, we can personalise the boards to match our different workstreams, and you can see what everyone is working across at the same time. You can integrate it to other programs, such as Claude AI, which speeds up workflow. It runs fairly quickly and is priced at a level which works for the company.Training provided to get on board was simple and got us up and running fast. The AI workflows and automations between boards keep things in the right place, and the intelligent Sidekick feature helps you see what needs your attention right away. I also use the notetaker from time to time - it's great.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the server/API is down, and as it is a central hub for our company that can hinder us sometimes. They have recently found the "My Work" tab harder to find. I wish that was back as a button on the sidebar.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a member of the design team, it keeps us on top of the numerous briefs that come in. Nothing gets missed and it's easy to send on to team members when complete.
