Boosts Engineering Collaboration and Visibility with Custom Boards and Dashboards
Reviewed on Jun 16, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I use monday work management to track design activities, engineering change requests, drawing releases, review cycles, and project deliverables across multiple stakeholders. What I like most is the visibility it provides into project status without needing to manually follow up with every team member.
The customizable boards are the feature I use most frequently. For example, I maintain boards for design reviews, drawing approvals, prototype activities, and issue tracking. Status columns, timelines, ownership assignments, and due dates make it easy to understand where each task stands and what requires attention. This has significantly reduced the time spent maintaining separate spreadsheets and email trackers.
The dashboard and reporting capabilities are also valuable because they provide a consolidated view of project progress, pending approvals, and workload distribution. Automations help reduce repetitive administrative tasks by sending reminders when reviews are due or when task statuses change.
The user interface is intuitive and visually organized, making onboarding straightforward even for team members who have not previously used project management software. Performance has been reliable during daily use, and the platform scales well as projects become more complex. Overall, monday work management has improved collaboration, accountability, and visibility across engineering activities while reducing manual coordination effort.

What do you dislike about the product?
While monday work management is highly flexible, the large number of customization options can create a learning curve during initial setup. Designing boards, automations, dashboards, and workflows requires planning to ensure consistency across teams
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before using monday work management, project activities were tracked through spreadsheets, emails, meeting notes, and individual task lists. During engineering projects, it was often difficult to maintain visibility into review status, pending actions, ownership, and approaching deadlines across multiple teams.
For example, during a design release cycle, tasks such as CAD updates, drawing reviews, approval signoffs, procurement requests, and validation activities were often managed through separate communication channels. This increased the risk of missed follow-ups and delayed project milestones.
With monday work management, project planning, task ownership, status tracking, documentation links, and review activities are centralized in one platform. Team members can easily see pending actions, managers can monitor project progress, and stakeholders have visibility into milestone completion without requesting manual updates.
The biggest benefit has been improved project visibility and coordination. Instead of spending time collecting updates from multiple sources, project information is available in real time. This has reduced administrative effort, improved accountability, and helped keep engineering deliverables on schedule while providing better transparency across project teams.

Very nice for teamwork and scaling our business. Have tried many softwares like this, but this definitivly beat all the rest.

A Powerful Platform for Managing Work and Teams
Reviewed on Jun 16, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
You can adapt boards to project management, client work, finance processes, recruiting, approvals, and more without needing separate tools and Routine actions such as status updates, notifications, task assignments, and reminders can be automated with little effort.
What do you dislike about the product?
Automations are easy to create, but complex multi-step business processes can hit platform limits or require workarounds and integrations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
helps solve the problem of fragmented work tracking and lack of visibility across teams. Before using it, project information, deadlines, approvals, and task ownership were often spread across spreadsheets, emails, and chat tools. monday centralizes this information into a single platform, making it easier to track progress, identify bottlenecks, and maintain accountability.
UI / UX
One of monday's strongest features is its intuitive and highly visual interface. The platform is easy for new users to navigate, and customizable views such as Kanban, Timeline, Calendar, and Gantt charts allow different teams to work in the format that best suits their needs. This reduces training time and encourages user adoption.
Integrations
The platform integrates well with commonly used business applications such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and CRM systems. These integrations reduce manual data entry and help keep information synchronized across tools, improving overall operational efficiency.
Performance
The system generally performs well for day-to-day task and project management. Boards, dashboards, and automations are responsive, allowing teams to manage workflows without significant delays. Performance remains reliable for most small and mid-sized organizations, though very large workspaces may require careful structure and governance.
Pricing / ROI
While monday can become more expensive as team size and feature requirements grow, the return on investment is often justified through improved productivity, reduced administrative effort, better visibility into project status, and fewer missed deadlines. The platform helps teams spend less time coordinating work and more time executing it.
Support / Onboarding
The onboarding experience is straightforward due to the platform's user-friendly design, extensive knowledge base, templates, and training resources. Customer support is generally responsive, and organizations can often deploy the platform quickly without requiring significant technical expertise.
AI / Intelligence
The AI capabilities help automate repetitive tasks, generate content, summarize information, and assist with workflow management. While the AI features are still evolving compared to some dedicated AI platforms, they provide practical productivity benefits by reducing manual work and helping users interact with data more efficiently.
Overall, monday Work Management delivers the most value by improving visibility, collaboration, and process standardization across teams while remaining flexible enough to support a wide range of business workflows.

Automation Boosts Efficiency, but Clarity Needed

What do you like best about the product?
I like the automations, the notifications, and the flexibility and scalability of monday Work Management. It reduces the amount of friction and handoffs, enhancing our communication and visibility within the cross-functional teams that I manage. Being able to see everything in multiple views helps us stay on task and avoid things falling through the cracks.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the things that could be improved is the clarity around the plans. Adding new members and changing plans could be clearer, and the ability to use POs as part of the invoicing or payment system would be helpful.

monday Work Management reduces friction and handoffs, enhances communication, improves visibility in cross-functional teams, and helps us stay on task.
