The one true Developer-friendly no code tool for internal tools

  • June 07, 2023
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Just how developer friendly it is - the thought placed into making the coding experience, the documentation, the infrastructure deployment. I could go on. Their support staff is also incredibly responsive on their intercom chat. The pricing of appsmith is also best-in-class in the market.
What do you dislike about the product?
Currently appsmith does not have features related to reusability. So this could impact applications that need to share components and code across pages. However it is part of their roadmap as I typed this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Build internal tools 10X faster. I don't have to maintain my own custom internal tools code any more. Yes I am way more productive with it. Business performance is definitely better thanks to the ability of creating such internal dashboards.

What do you like best about the product?
I was always a Microsoft Access guy, but I could never deploy that to the web. Enter Appsmith and my stuff is OUT THERE! And support is amazing!
What do you dislike about the product?
The Git feature has been giving me issues. Also, not good for DRY development. I believe they are working on both of these areas.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is an awesome platform for the development of Internal processes. I think the business addition will allow for the development of Client-facing Apps as well.

Best Tool for Creating Small Scale Dashboard

  • May 30, 2023
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Appsmith offers an exceptional feature that truly captivates me its seamless connectivity to diverse data sources and remarkable ability to transform them into user-friendly, tabular formats effortlessly. This incredible functionality empowers both the business and analytics teams to swiftly access and analyse the data they need.

It's like having the power to effortlessly create a dashboard that enables these teams to independently solve their problems, eliminating the need for constant assistance from the backend team.
What do you dislike about the product?
While there is a feature in Appsmith that I believe could enhance its capabilities, I would like to mention the lack of seamless navigation between function calls in the backend, as we often find in other types of IDEs. I believe that by incorporating this feature, Appsmith would undoubtedly become an even more powerful tool, further streamlining our workflow and empowering us to achieve outstanding results
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In my company, we have encountered a specific use case that involves creating a user interface exclusively for a small group of 10-15 individuals. This UI will primarily serve the purpose of triggering on-demand runs and displaying the corresponding results in a tabular format. To optimize efficiency and avoid overburdening our front-end and back-end engineers, we have found a solution that perfectly fits our needs. With this remarkable tool, the front-end development process becomes a breeze, thanks to its intuitive drag-and-drop interface. Furthermore, creating APIs for the front-end widgets is incredibly straightforward, ensuring a seamless integration of functionalities. By leveraging this tool, we are able to maximize our resources and deliver a powerful solution without unnecessary strain on our development team.

What do you like best about the product?
Appsmith's user interface is incredibly intuitive and user-friendly. The drag-and-drop feature makes it a breeze to create complex UIs, and the extensive library of pre-built components saves a tremendous amount of time
Appsmith truly shines when it comes to backend integrations. The platform seamlessly connects with various databases and APIs, allowing for seamless data retrieval and manipulation. The inbuilt support for popular databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB, as well as APIs like REST and GraphQL, makes it a one-stop solution for all my backend needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Good for small scale application but need improvement on layout and navigation for large and complex applications.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Build quickly internal applications in less time with limited resource.

What do you like best about the product?
As a product manager, I wanted to use Appsmith first on a personal use case, to assess it against other low-code tools. The speed with which I was able to assemble a functional prototype leads me to want to use it on professional use cases.
The team was also very responsive in helping me figure out how best to address my needs with the product.
What do you dislike about the product?
The process of addind a data source (specifically, a Google Sheet) and easily linking my data to my app could be more streamlined.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easily building an app with limited access to coding skills

Great product to quickly get things started!

  • May 16, 2023
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to integrate into other data sources such as GraphQL etc., and then using that data is a breeze. I also like how you can copy widgets across multiple pages to avoid repetitive tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes when there are different-sized widgets on the page, getting them to align correctly can be a challenge. This particularly happens when some of the widgets contain text above them compared to ones that don't.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to create dashboard pages for our customer very quickly and efficiently. For example if they need a report created that does xyz, it doesn't take long to create a page/app that can achieve this
