A limited preview of the China (Beijing) Region will be available in early 2014. A select group of China-based and multinational companies with customers in China will be invited to begin using the new Beijing Region. Customers who wish to use AWS resources in China will be required to create a 亚马逊 AWS Account, a set of credentials that are distinct and separate from other global AWS Accounts. Only customers with a 亚马逊 AWS Account will be able to use resources operated in the AWS China (Beijing) Region.
Request an account for the upcoming limited preview at www.amazonaws.cn.
AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) users can only be created and managed in the US East (N. Virginia) or GovCloud Regions. For more information about IAM, please see the IAM detail page.
Users can configure OpsWorks instances to be launched in any AWS region except GovCloud. OpsWorks itself runs in US East (N. Virginia) and provides access to all OpsWorks applications no matter where they are running.
