Amazon Simple Email Service (Amazon SES) now supports delivery notifications. Delivery notifications enable you to more accurately track your sending by alerting you when Amazon SES successfully delivers your email to a recipient's mail server.
Delivery notifications are provided in the form of Amazon Simple Notification Service (Amazon SNS) messages. You enable delivery notifications by configuring your verified identities to publish these notifications to an Amazon SNS topic of your choice. In addition to a delivery timestamp, delivery notifications include the response of the remote mail server that accepted your message, the length of time Amazon SES took to process the email, and more.
Delivery notifications join the existing bounce and complaint notifications to provide increased transparency into your email sending. To learn more about Amazon SES, visit the Amazon SES detail page. For details about using notifications with Amazon SES, see the Amazon SES Blog.
