You can now learn what devices your end users use to access content Amazon CloudFront is delivering. The new Devices Report shows you how many requests come from mobile, tablets, desktops, smart TVs and other types of devices during a specified time period. You can access the new Devices Report via the CloudFront section of the AWS Management Console by selecting Viewers under the Reports and Analytics section in the navigation pane and then clicking the Devices tab.
Also, we’ve made several other improvements to make the CloudFront Reports & Analytics section of the AWS Management Console easier to use:
- CSV export functionality: You can now export the data contained in the various Reports & Analytics charts to a CSV file.
- Amazon CloudWatch Integration: You can now monitor and set alarms on six CloudFront metrics published via CloudWatch from within the CloudFront console
- Saved Settings: Your local browser will save your selected parameters (like the timeframe or distribution you select for a report), so you don’t need to re-enter this information when you switch tabs or log out of your browser.
- Increase in characters in Popular Objects URLs: We have increased the number of characters in the Popular Objects URL from 50 to 500 characters (effective for usage after March 13, 2015).
