Amplifying our outstanding women at AWS

Women of AWS

Our global team of women builders are redefining what’s possible for women in tech and inspiring the next generation of innovators. There’s still work to do to increase women’s representation in our industry, and AWS is committed to leading change and creating a workplace where people of all backgrounds can thrive.

Employee upskilling

In addition to our commitment to provide free cloud skills training to 29 million people globally by 2025, we have several programs to help our employees upskill, as part of Amazon’s broader Upskilling 2025 pledge to invest $1.2 billion to provide skills training and education to employees in the United States. These include the AWS ‘Grow Our Own Talent’ program, which supports employees with nontraditional experience to gain on-the-job tech training and development, and our Amazon Technical Apprentice Program, which helps groups including military veterans and their spouses transition into tech careers.

The broadness and vastness of the technology landscape was just mind-blowing. I’m grateful that programs like the Amazon Technical Apprenticeship exist. I’m not sure how else I would into this career without this opportunity.”
