How do I create an Amazon QuickSight Enterprise Edition account?

Amazon QuickSight offers Standard and Enterprise editions. For more information about Standard and Enterprise editions, see Different Editions of Amazon QuickSight.

  1. Open the Amazon QuickSight console, and then choose Sign up for QuickSight.
  2. Under Edition, choose Enterprise, and then choose Continue. Note: To sign up as an educator, a student, or as an existing AWS user, see Setting Up Amazon QuickSight.
  3. Under Edition, choose Use Role Based Federation (SSO) or Use Active Directory. Note: If you use AWS Directory Service for Microsoft Active Directory, create your Enterprise Edition account in the N. Virginia Region, and then create two groups: one group for users and one group for administrators. If your directory is not listed, choose Refresh list. For more information, see Managing User Accounts in Amazon QuickSight Enterprise Edition. If you don't use AWS Directory Service for Microsoft Active Directory, choose Create directory.
  4. Type your QuickSight account name and Notification email address, and then select your QuickSight capacity region.
  5. To enable autodiscovery of data from other AWS services, choose the AWS service that you want Amazon QuickSight to visualize.
  6. After you create or select the groups and users, choose Authorize, and then choose Finish. Note: Active Directory users aren't automatically notified when they're added to an Amazon QuickSight group.
