About AWS Educate Cloud Ambassador
Amazon Web Services Hong Kong will launch the 4th Educate Cloud Ambassador Program, running for 6 months. Since 2022, we have trained 85 Educate Cloud Ambassadors from universities and institutions in Hong Kong, all serving as AWS champions. Together, we nurture cloud talent and collaborate with AWS Hong Kong’s strategic teams.
Ambassadors will have opportunities to be the advocate of AWS Kiro and Certification program, share learning resources (AWS Educate and AWS Academy), and deliver AWS cloud computing knowledge through workshops and events. Ambassadors may also participate in cross-department projects led by AWS Hong Kong.

What you’ll learn (6-month journey)
- Experience working with AWS Hong Kong’s Strategic Solutions team across departments
- Hands-on opportunities across fields such as digital marketing, cloud technology, and technical education
- Familiarity with AWS corporate culture and the tech industry landscape
- Participation in AWS events, seminars, and workshops
- Develop leadership, decision-making, and public speaking skills by organizing events independently
Ambassador tasks
- Plan and implement the "AWS Certification Buddy Program" with hands-on workshops and certificate-focused sessions
- Assist with at least one on-campus AWS promotional event (AWS technology, Kiro, certifications, educational platforms) and liaise with campus administration, faculty, and students
- Ambassadors are encouraged to create innovative self-initiated programs in coordination with the AWS Strategic Team
- Conduct a final training performance review and present the program outcomes
*Tasks are organized into three functional areas based on expertise: Event Planning, Technical Support, and Marketing
Application requirement
- Current students at Hong Kong universities and institutions (must maintain student status for at least six more months and be enrolled in Hong Kong during the term)
- Regardless of major, a strong interest in the cloud industry and a desire to understand cloud technology
- Passion for organizing events and the ability to lead from concept to execution and optimization
- Curious, willing to try new things, and embrace challenges
- Responsible and attentive, able to devote 4–5 hours per week to Ambassador duties
Beneficial experiences
Event Planning
- Experience in organizing physical events
- Leadership roles in clubs or student groups
- Outgoing, enthusiastic, and sociable
Technical Support
- Familiarity with AWS cloud computing
- Relevant coursework or project experience
- Understanding of AWS services and industry knowledge
- AWS certifications (include proof and link to your application)
Marketing
- Strong writing skills, experience in managing communities or social media
- Experience running personal or organization-owned media channels (include links)
- Familiarity with graphics software
