Explore membership options

The AWS EdStart program provides EdTech startups with resources to quickly get started on AWS – including AWS Promotional Credit and access to training and support. This global community of like-minded people and companies are solving complex educational problems. Choose from two program levels: The AWS EdStart Innovators Tier and the AWS EdStart Members Tier. The Innovators Tier is intended for the earliest stage EdTech startups. Once AWS EdStart Innovators have advanced their business and are working with customers, they can apply to become an AWS EdStart Member. The AWS EdStart Agreement governs participation in the AWS EdStart program. Use of AWS Promotional Credits are subject to the AWS Promotional Credit Terms & Conditions.

AWS EdStart Innovators Tier

This tier provides the earliest stage EdTech startups with a seed investment of AWS Promotional Credit, business and technical resources, and exposure to a global EdTech community to launch their company.

AWS EdStart Members Tier

This tier is designed to help EdTech founders build and scale existing offerings. Members are provided with a wide array of business and technical support and exposure to a large community of EdTech customers, investors, media, and fellow entrepreneurs.

Technical training

As an AWS EdStart Member, you will have access to numerous technical training opportunities to support you in strengthening your AWS-based business. Resources include webcasts, technical training sessions, and industry expert-led presentations.

 

AWS Promotional Credit

Voice builder course and digital badge

As an AWS EdStart Member, you have the opportunity to access EdTech-specific curated trainings and hands-on modules for building your own voice technology application. Put your training to the test by building and launching an Alexa skill to earn the AWS Voice Builder Badge.

 

Select marketing opportunities

There are a number of select collaborative marketing opportunities you can take advantage of as an AWS EdStart Member. As you establish and mature your business, you have opportunities to participate in webinars, case studies, blog posts, sponsorships, and more.

Mentorship

Benefit from collaboration and conversation between experienced industry leaders and EdTech startups. Providing opportunities for mentorship has a long tradition of success at AWS and we want to extend that success to our AWS EdStart Members. Live or virtual events and networking

AWS EdStart live or virtual events bring members of the community together in an informative and social environment to foster networking and collaboration. Currently, the team hosts meetups, AWS EdStart Pitch Days, and receptions for community members. AWS EdStart provides many opportunities to network with investors, customers, mentors, entrepreneurs, and technology enthusiasts from around the world.

AWS EdStart, also known as the AWS educational technology startup accelerator, is an AWS program designed to help its participants grow their education technology businesses. AWS EdStart participants may have access to many benefits, such as AWS Promotional Credit, select marketing opportunities, global thought leadership, participation in live or virtual events, and access to the AWS EdStart web portal. The AWS EdStart web portal is a central online, self-service resource that includes an online directory of AWS EdStart participants, a community messaging forum, and a repository of content, technical, and business development trainings. The AWS EdStart Agreement, as may be updated from time to time, governs participation in AWS EdStart and use of the AWS EdStart web portal. AWS EdStart participants’ personal information, business contact information, and community forum messages may be accessed by AWS EdStart participants that use the AWS EdStart web portal. Please contact AWS EdStart by email or see the AWS EdStart Agreement for information about how AWS collects and uses personal information.

Organizations that wish to apply for participation in AWS EdStart must meet the application criteria described on the AWS EdStart Member application page or the AWS EdStart Innovators page. Government entities, including government-owned corporations and government-funded organizations, are not eligible to participate in AWS EdStart. Individual users of AWS EdStart must be from participant organizations and 18 years or older.
