I have an active EC2 Reserved Instance that I no longer need. How do I sell it on the EC2 Reserved Instance Marketplace?

If you no longer need a Reserved Instance, you can sell it to another Amazon EC2 user on the EC2 Reserved Instance Marketplace. The EC2 Reserved Instance Marketplace allows you to set a price for the remainder of the Reserved Instance term. If another EC2 user purchases it, you receive most of the proceeds from the purchase, and the remainder of the term for that Reserved Instance moves to the buyer's account.

For an overview of the EC2 Reserved Instance Marketplace, including details and limitations, see Selling in the Reserved Instance Marketplace.

For information about becoming a seller on the EC2 Reserved Instance Marketplace, see Registering as a Seller.

Note: Only Standard Reserved Instances that reserve capacity in a particular Availability Zone (AZ) can be sold in the EC2 Reserved Instance Marketplace.
