AWS Console Tag Editor Now Supports “Not tagged” and “Empty value” Resource Search

Posted on: Feb 19, 2015

Tag Editor, a cross-service and cross-region tool for managing tags, now supports the ability to search for resources that do not have a certain tag key applied or that have an empty value. AWS customers use tags to organize and find resources with Resource Groups and also to categorize and track AWS costs. The new “Not tagged” and “Empty value” search features help customers audit tags on their account’s resources and ensure that correct tags are applied to every resource. Try out the new features today when searching in the Tag Editor by selecting “Not tagged” or “Empty value” in the tag value search field.
