AWS Elastic Beanstalk Supports Generic Java Applications

Posted on: Sep 28, 2015

AWS Elastic Beanstalk now supports generic Java applications.

You can now run Java applications with embedded servlet containers and web servers and are no longer restricted to using Tomcat as the application server for your Java applications. Both Java 7 and Java 8 are supported. This is in addition to existing support for Tomcat, .NET, PHP, Node.js, Python, Ruby, Go, and Docker applications and services. Read our blog to learn more about running Java applications in Elastic Beanstalk. Please see the documentation for more information on Java support.
