Amazon Pinpoint broadens reach of multi-channel messaging with new support for Amazon Device Messaging, Baidu Cloud Push, and APNs Sandbox and .p8 token authentication for APNs

Posted on: Sep 27, 2017

Amazon Pinpoint now supports Amazon Device Messaging (ADM), Baidu Cloud Push (Baidu), as well as additional options for using Apple Push Notification service (APNs). These changes help Amazon Pinpoint customers reach more customers on more devices around the world using push notifications, one of the most effective channels for increasing customer engagement with applications.

Support for ADM makes it easy for customers to send push notifications to users of Amazon devices around the world, while support for Baidu helps customers reach millions of Baidu Cloud users in China.

Additionally, when sending notifications to Apple devices using APNs, Amazon Pinpoint customers can now use token authentication to ensure high security and ease of use. Finally, Amazon Pinpoint customers can send notifications to the APNs sandbox environment in order to test their notifications before they release their applications.

For more information on enabling these channels and features, see Amazon Pinpoint adds ADM, Baidu, APNs Token Authentication and Sandbox Channel for Push Notifications on the AWS Mobile Blog.

Amazon Pinpoint is available in the US East (N. Virginia) AWS Region. For more information, see Getting Started with Amazon Pinpoint in the Amazon Pinpoint User Guide.
