Amazon FreeRTOS over-the-air (OTA) update feature is now generally available. You can use OTA updates to remotely deploy security updates, bug fixes, and new firmware images to microcontroller-based devices in the field.
Amazon FreeRTOS makes deploying OTA updates less memory intensive, by communicating those updates over a single TLS connection, shared with other AWS IoT Core communications. You provide a firmware image, select the devices to update, select a code signing method, and schedule the update, all within the AWS IoT Device Management console. Amazon FreeRTOS is available in Northern Virginia, Oregon, Ohio, Ireland, Frankfurt, London, Tokyo, and Sydney regions. You can learn more about OTA updates with Amazon FreeRTOS in the developer guide here or on the AWS News Blog.
