You can now use Amazon Elastic Container Service for Kubernetes (EKS) to run Windows Server workloads as part of a developer preview. The preview allows you to take advantage of the latest Kubernetes functionality and start validating performance and stability of containerized Windows applications managed by Amazon EKS.
Many development teams are faced with supporting a mix of services designed for Windows and Linux. Now, Amazon EKS makes it possible to run containerized code for both environments using Kubernetes for more consistency in system logging, performance monitoring, and code deployment pipelines. Starting with Kubernetes version 1.11, the developer preview of Windows nodes for Amazon EKS lets you begin to test and validate migrating Windows workloads to containers managed by Kubernetes with Amazon EKS.
Visit our GitHub to learn more about the developer preview and get started launching Windows nodes with Amazon EKS.
