AWS RoboMaker now supports configurable timeout in over-the-air (OTA) deployment

Posted on: Aug 16, 2019

AWS RoboMaker, a service that makes it easy to develop, simulate, and deploy intelligent robotics applications, now supports configurable timeout in over-the-air (OTA) deployment. This new feature allows developers and system engineers to configure the timeout duration of a deployment job to be between 1 minute and 7 days. Being able to configure the timeout duration prevents undue delays or premature failures so that updates and deployments jobs can be completed.

AWS RoboMaker extends the most widely used open-source robotics software framework, Robot Operating System (ROS), with connectivity to cloud services. These cloud services provide a robotics development environment for application development, a robotics simulation service to accelerate application testing, and a robotics fleet management service for remote application deployment, update, and management. RoboMaker also provides cloud extensions that enable a robot to stream data, navigate, communicate, comprehend, and learn through AWS machine learning services, monitoring services, and analytics services. To get started, please explore the RoboMaker webpage or run a sample simulation job in the RoboMaker console

AWS RoboMaker is available in US East (N. Virginia), US East (Ohio), US West (Oregon), EU (Ireland), EU (Frankfurt), Asia Pacific (Tokyo), and Asia Pacific (Singapore) regions.
