AWS IoT Greengrass 1.9.3 With Support for ARMv6 and New Machine Learning Connectors Now Available

Posted on: Sep 19, 2019

AWS IoT Greengrass Core 1.9.3 is now available. With this release, AWS IoT Greengrass adds support for the ARMv6 architecture and new machine learning inference capabilities.

With this new platform support, customers can use AWS IoT Greengrass Core on ARMv6 devices running Raspbian Buster.

Two new machine learning connectors are also now available for Greengrass. A new ML Object Detection connector allows customers to perform object detection inference by using models compiled by the Amazon SageMaker Neo deep learning compiler. A new ML Feedback Connector makes it easier to send ML input data and prediction results to the cloud for ML retraining. Customers can use the ML Feedback connector from user Lambdas, the ML Object Detection connector, or with an updated version of the ML Image Classification connector.

These new features are available to all AWS customers starting today. For more information about AWS IoT Greengrass, visit our product page.
