Amazon DynamoDB Accelerator (DAX) is now available in the EU (London) and EU (Paris) Regions. You can create DAX clusters using Amazon EC2 R4 and T2 instance types in these AWS Regions for applications that require microsecond latency.

DAX provides a fully managed, highly available, in-memory cache for DynamoDB that can accelerate reads from DynamoDB tables by up to 10 times, even at millions of requests per second. DAX does all the heavy lifting required to add in-memory acceleration to your DynamoDB tables. You provision a DAX cluster, use the DAX client SDK to point your existing DynamoDB API calls to the DAX cluster, and let DAX handle the rest.

To get started with DAX, see Using the DAX Client in an Application. For DAX regional availability information, see AWS regions and endpoints.
