Amazon EC2 Auto Scaling, Application Auto Scaling, and AWS Auto Scaling now support AWS PrivateLink

Posted on: Nov 25, 2019

You can now access Amazon EC2 Auto Scaling, Application Auto Scaling, and AWS Auto Scaling (scaling plans) within your Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) as these Auto Scaling services now support AWS PrivateLink. With AWS PrivateLink support, you can now privately access auto scaling services from your VPC, without using public IPs, and without requiring the traffic to traverse across the internet.

You can now use newly created endpoints in Application Auto Scaling and AWS Auto Scaling for AWS PrivateLink support. You can continue to use existing endpoints in EC2 Auto Scaling for AWS PrivateLink support. AWS PrivateLink support for the above auto scaling services is now available in all commercial and US GovCloud regions except China (Beijing) and China (Ningxia).

AWS PrivateLink simplifies the security of data shared with cloud-based applications by eliminating the exposure of data to the public Internet. AWS PrivateLink provides private connectivity between VPCs, AWS services, and on-premises applications securely on the Amazon network. AWS PrivateLink makes it easy to connect services across different accounts and VPCs to significantly simplify the network architecture.
