Amazon Simple Email Service (Amazon SES) now offers Federal Information Processing Standard 140-2 (FIPS) compliant endpoints. FIPS 140-2 is a U.S. and Canadian government standard that specifies the security requirements for cryptographic modules that protect sensitive information.
Amazon SES FIPS endpoints use FIPS-compliant cryptographic standards, which may be required for certain sensitive information or regulated workloads. To use a FIPS-compliant connection, specify an Amazon SES FIPS endpoint when you connect to the Amazon SES API.
FIPS 140-2 validated endpoints for Amazon SES are available in the US East (N. Virginia) and US West (Oregon) AWS Regions. For more information, see Regions and Endpoints in the AWS General Reference.
