AWS RoboMaker now supports conditional over-the-air deployment

Posted on: Nov 4, 2019

AWS RoboMaker, a service that makes it easy to develop, simulate, and deploy robotics applications, now supports conditional over-the-air (OTA) deployment for fleet management. This new feature allows developers to specify a pre-check condition during deployment so that you can have more granular control over the deployment process. For example, you can specify a condition to be a certain level of battery. The deployment will only be triggered if the battery level on a robot meets the specified condition.

AWS RoboMaker provides a robotics development environment for application development, a robotics simulation service to accelerate application testing, and a robotics fleet management service for remote application deployment, update, and management. AWS RoboMaker also extends the most widely used open-source robotics software framework, Robot Operating System (ROS1 and ROS2), with connectivity to cloud services. This includes AWS machine learning services, monitoring services, and analytics services that enable a robot to stream data, navigate, communicate, comprehend, and learn. To get started, please explore the RoboMaker webpage or run a sample simulation job in the RoboMaker console

AWS RoboMaker is available in US East (N. Virginia), US East (Ohio), US West (Oregon), EU (Ireland), EU (Frankfurt), Asia Pacific (Tokyo), and Asia Pacific (Singapore) regions.
