EBS direct APIs for Snapshots are now available in ten additional regions: US East (Ohio), US West (N. California), Canada (Central), Europe (London), Europe (Stockholm), Europe (Paris), Asia Pacific (Mumbai), Asia Pacific (Seoul), Asia Pacific (Sydney), and South America (São Paulo).
With EBS direct APIs, backup providers can easily track incremental changes on EBS volumes via EBS snapshots and streamline their workflows to reduce backup times by up to 70%. They can directly read snapshots and get differences between two snapshots without needing to create EBS volumes and EC2 instances. This enables backup providers to provide more granular recovery point objectives (RPOs) to AWS customers at lower costs.
EBS direct APIs are now available in sixteen AWS regions. Complete regional availability for the feature can be found here. To learn more about the feature, see the technical documentation and pricing pages on EBS direct APIs for Snapshots.
