Amazon Lightsail now provides you with the ability to create and manage content delivery network (CDN) distributions, making it quick and easy to accelerate the delivery of your website’s content to your global audience. This native service, called Lightsail CDN, is backed by Amazon CloudFront, Amazon Web Services’ CDN platform that uses a global network of servers in over 200 locations across 42 countries to store and deliver your content throughout the world. Lightsail CDN distributions can be created and configured with just a few clicks for a low, predictable monthly price, and you can get started for free.

With Lightsail CDN, you can not only accelerate the delivery of your content hosted on Lightsail to users all over the world, but also easily enable TLS for your custom domains and improve your site’s scalability and availability, all within Lightsail’s friendly and intuitive console. Lightsail CDN offers a set of predefined configurations so you can easily optimize your distributions for a variety of applications, including WordPress and static web sites. Lightsail distributions offer three fixed-price data plans, including an introductory plan that’s free for 12 months, allowing you to predict your costs and pick the right plan based on your needs.

Lightsail CDN can be used with Lightsail instances and load balancers in any AWS Region supported by Lightsail. Check out the documentation to learn how to create your first Lightsail CDN distribution and serve your content globally.
