Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus is now generally available. Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus is a fully managed Prometheus-compatible monitoring service that makes it easy to monitor and alarm on operational metrics at scale. Prometheus is a popular Cloud Native Computing Foundation open-source project for monitoring and alerting that is optimized for container environments.
As part of this launch, we are introducing additional capabilities such as the Prometheus-compatible alert manager, recording rules and alerting rules. We also added support for provisioning Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus workspaces, rules configurations, and alert manager configurations with AWS CloudFormation. You can track and audit changes made to your Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus workspaces with an expanded set of CloudTrail logs, such as when recording rules are deleted, alert configurations are changed, and more. Customers can also tag their Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus workspaces to help manage, identify, organize, filter, and control access to them.
