Amazon QuickSight now supports advanced styling for your Table and Pivot Table. Authors can create beautiful tables, follow a design pattern or apply a standardized corporate identity to their tabular visuals with the newly launched options to customize borders and colors. They can also apply custom borders and styling for their totals and sub-totals letting them create financial reports like income statements etc. See here for more details.
QuickSight now also supports Hyperlinks on Table visuals. Authors can now create hyperlinks to external resources by formatting fields containing URLs as Hyperlinks. Authors can customize the “Open in“ behavior of these links to open in same tab, new tab or a new window. They can also customize the Display style of these links to display as hyperlink, icons, plain text or even custom text. See here for more details.
Tables also support images within Table Cells. Authors can add images to their table cells by formatting fields containing Image URLs to display as Images. Authors can customize the Image size to fit to the cell height, cell width or even choose to not scale the image size. See here for more details.
Lastly, QuickSight now supports content alignment and wrapping customizations in Tables and Pivot tables. Authors can wrap text to display content without increasing the column width, and can also vertically align text to display at top, middle or bottom of the cell. Additionally, Authors can customize row-height to control the presentation of the data. See here for more details.
New Table and Pivot table enhancements are now available in all supported Amazon QuickSight regions - US East (N. Virginia), US East (Ohio), US West (Oregon), Europe (Frankfurt), Europe (Ireland), Europe (London), Asia Pacific (Mumbai), Asia Pacific (Seoul), Asia Pacific (Singapore), Asia Pacific (Sydney), Asia Pacific (Tokyo), Canada (Central), South America (São Paulo), and AWS GovCloud (US-West).
