Amazon Redshift now scales write queries with Concurrency Scaling. Concurrency Scaling supports virtually unlimited concurrent users and concurrent queries, with consistently fast query performance. Now your write queries such as COPY, INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETE can run on transient Concurrency Scaling clusters when there is queueing.
If you are currently using Concurrency Scaling, this new capability is automatically enabled in your cluster. You can monitor your Concurrency Scaling usage using Amazon Redshift Console and get alerts on usage exceeding your defined limits. You can also create, modify, and delete usage limits programmatically by using the AWS CLI and API.
This preview of Amazon Redshift Concurrency Scaling is available in limited regions. To learn more about regional availability, please see this documentation.
