Amazon Polly is a service that turns text into lifelike speech, allowing you to create applications that talk, and build entirely new categories of speech-enabled products. Today, we are excited to announce the general availability of two voices: Ola, a new female Polish neural Text-to-speech (NTTS) voice and Hala, a new female NTTS voice in Arabic (Gulf).
Ola is Amazon Polly’s first Polish neural TTS voice. We have designed it to sound friendly, welcoming and professional, which makes it applicable to a wide range of TTS use cases such as Interactive Voice Response systems, articles and educational content. Amazon Polly added support for Arabic in 2019 by launching Zeina, a standard TTS voice following the Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) pronunciation. The voice we launched today, Hala, is a dialectical Gulf Arabic (ar-AE) voice that also supports MSA when invoked with the "arb" <lang> tag.
Both Ola and Hala are availble in all AWS regions supporting Neural TTS. For more details, please review our full list of Amazon Polly text-to-speech voices and visit our pricing page.
