Starting today, AWS IoT TwinMaker Scene Composer will support two new features, Camera View and Sub-model Selection, which make it easier for customers to navigate complex 3D models in digital twins.

Camera View allows developers to create preset viewpoints in their 3D scenes and to define a point of view when inspecting their digital twins. Preset views help users quickly find what they’re looking for in large, complex digital twins. Sub-model Selection allows users to select and interact with the sub-components of their glTF format 3D models for improved granularity and control. For example, you can select or shade a sub-component to represent that the equipment is active and operational, or to draw attention to a specific part of a large machine that is having an issue.

Both Camera View and Sub-model Selection are available in the following AWS Regions: US East (N. Virginia), US West (Oregon), Asia Pacific (Singapore), Asia Pacific (Sydney), Europe (Frankfurt), and Europe (Ireland).
