We are announcing the general availability of the AWS Modernization Calculator for Microsoft Workloads.
Using this calculator, you can estimate the cost of modernizing your Microsoft workloads to a new architecture that uses open-source software and cloud-native services on the AWS Cloud. It enables you to assess the benefits of using technologies built for the cloud, which can lead to a reduction in the total cost of ownership (TCO), elimination of software license management, and an increase in developer productivity.
The AWS Modernization Calculator is an interactive tool that intuitively estimates the cost of running modernized workloads on AWS. You can use this calculator without detailed knowledge of AWS services and can receive guidance on the modernization approach that will work best for your Microsoft workloads. With a few clicks, you can receive new architecture patterns such as multi-tier, batch processing, and application containerization based on AWS Well-Architected Framework.
You do not need an AWS account to use the calculator and it is available in all commercial and AWS GovCloud (US) Regions.
