Today, we are excited to announce the general availability of Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) Anywhere single-node clusters on bare metal. With single-node Amazon EKS Anywhere clusters, the cluster management components run alongside your applications on a single bare metal server.
Single-node clusters enable you to run Amazon EKS Anywhere clusters in resource-constrained development/test and edge environments. The minimum resource requirements for the cluster management components are 2 vCPU, 8GB RAM, and 25GB storage so you can conserve machine resources for your applications. Single-node clusters bring the benefits of Amazon EKS Anywhere for a consistent, AWS-supported Kubernetes experience across on-premises data centers and edge environments.
