Today, we would like to announce enhancements to AWS Mainframe Modernization service including an expansion to 5 new regions and support for AWS CloudFormation, AWS PrivateLink, and AWS Key Management Service (KMS) resulting in repeatable deployment, and greater security and compliance.
The service is now available in the following regions: Asia Pacific (Mumbai), Asia Pacific (Singapore), Asia Pacific (Tokyo), Europe (London), Europe (Paris).
The support for CloudFormation helps customers, especially those treating infrastructure as code, provision AWS Mainframe Modernization service resources such as environments and applications in a secure, efficient and repeatable way. With the support for AWS PrivateLink, customers can privately access and manage those resources from their virtual private cloud (Amazon VPC) with security and compliance. The support for AWS KMS enables creation and management of customer owned/managed server-side keys to encrypt the data stored by AWS Mainframe Modernization service.
