Today, AWS announces the general availability of Amazon Managed Blockchain (AMB) Token-Based Access (TBA) for fully managed Ethereum nodes. TBA provides a more convenient way for customers to connect to their Ethereum nodes from popular blockchain development tools.
TBA increases AMB’s Ethereum node interoperability with popular tools used by blockchain developers. Customers that do not need the level of security provided by AWS Signature Version 4 (SigV4) can create an Accessor token through the AWS Console, CLI ,or SDK. This Accessor token can be used to easily connect popular developer tools such as ether.js, Hardhat, and Metamask with AMB Ethereum nodes. To learn more, please see the documentation and our “how-to-use” blog.
AMB is a fully managed service that allows you to join public networks or set up and manage scalable private networks using popular open-source frameworks. Amazon Managed Blockchain eliminates the overhead required to create the network or join a public network, and automatically scales to meet the demands of thousands of applications running millions of transactions. AMB currently supports Ethereum, Goerli, and Rinkeby. AMB also supports Hyperledger Fabric (v. 1.2, 1.4, and 2.2). AMB is generally available in the following AWS regions: US East (N. Virginia), Europe (Dublin), Europe (London), Asia Pacific (Seoul), Asia Pacific (Singapore), and Asia Pacific (Tokyo).
