With AWS IoT Core for Amazon Sidewalk, customers can now easily provision, onboard, and monitor their Amazon Sidewalk devices.
Amazon Sidewalk is an encrypted, free-to-connect community network designed to provide reliable connectivity for billions of devices. Sidewalk now provides coverage to more than 90% of the US population and support long-range connected solutions for communities and enterprises. Users with a Sidewalk Bridge can choose to contribute a small portion of their internet bandwidth, which is pooled together to create a shared network that benefits all Sidewalk-enabled devices in a community.
AWS IoT Core for Amazon Sidewalk now streamlines the device on-boarding process for Amazon Sidewalk developers and provides an efficient path to access over 200+ AWS Services. This integration provides significant benefits to Amazon Sidewalk Developers, manufacturers, and end-users. It streamlines the design, connection and deployment process, enabling developers to use AWS IoT Core for their development journey from prototyping to mass production.
Developers can easily get started with Amazon Sidewalk by using one of the available Amazon Sidewalk qualified hardware development kits (HDKs), Software development kits (SDKs) and a Sidewalk Sample Application to build a prototype Sidewalk device in minutes. AWS IoT Core for Amazon Sidewalk facilitates device on-boarding while Amazon Sidewalk enables cloud connectivity. With AWS IoT Core, you can scale from one prototype to millions of devices.
